ID.4 range expands even further
'Pure' and 'Pure Performance' battery and motor options are now available for the ID.4
These new powertrains are available in either City or Style trims, with the entry-level ID.4 City Pure eligible for the Government Plug-in Vehicle Grant!
Both have the 52 kWh net battery capacity setup, with the 'Pure' option delivering 148ps and 220Nm of torque, and the 'Pure Performance' 170ps with 310Nm of torque - across both City specifications there is a range of up to 213 miles, whereas Style variants are capable of up to 211 miles.
The new City is at an OTR price of £32,150 (RRP), making it eligible for the PIVG and as a result more affordable for customers. The City Pure Performance is priced at £36,030, the Style Pure at £38,150 and the Style Pure Performance at £39,530 (all OTR, recommended prices). The ID.4 'Pure' and 'Pure Performance' specifications can both add up to 137 miles of range from a 100 kW rapid charger in just 30 minutes, whereas a 7.2 kW home charger takes about 7hrs and 30mins to charge from 0-100%.
Standard features of the entry-level model in the ID.4 line-up, the City, include LED headlights and tail lights, 10-colour ambient lighting and a 10-inch Discover Navigation Pro infotainment system. Driver assistance systems include Front Assist, Lane Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, traffic sign recognition, rain sensor and front & rear parking sensors.
Above the City specification comes the Style. 18-inch 'Falun' alloy wheels, IQ.Light LED matrix headlights, Dynamic Light Assist and a front LED strip between each headlight is just some of the standard features of this model. The interior improves the comfort and styling of this vehicle bringing 3-zone Climatronic climate control, a luggage net, keyless locking & start and a rear-view camera as part of the Assistance Package.
With the recent arrival of the ID.4 City and Style, and 'Pure' and 'Pure Performance' to the existing ID.4 offering, the variants of this model raises to eight including the last remaining ID.4 1st Editions.
"As our family of all electric and net carbon-neutral ID. models grow, there's a car suitable for most budgets and requirements. Hot off the heels of the ID.4 winning the World Car of the Year 2021 title, we are delighted to launch the entry-level ID.4 City, eligible for the Government's Plug-in Vehicle Grant making electric SUV ownership accessible to even more people.
We aren't finished adding to the ID.4 line-up either, because in the coming months the ID.4 GTX will open for order to UK customers. It will be our first fully-electric high performance model, with the 'GTX' badge representing a new sub-brand of sporty all-electric models that introduce all-wheel drive to the ID. range." said Sarah Cox, Head of Marketing at Volkswagen UK.
We look forward to welcoming the new battery and motor options and variants of the ID.4 very soon here at Breeze Volkswagen, including the very exciting GTX model. Follow us on social media to be kept up to date!
